As the photos from the men’s runway shows have been coming in I have been trying to pick my favorites which is not so easy with many impractical collections. The runways were full of light, flowing designs for the ultra stylish man. Most of the men’s shows have strong themes or maybe too much of a story and not for real men at all. Although designers have the freedom to put out more elaborate menswear to try to capture attention they often leave a puzzling effect because which guy would really want to be part of a theme. A couple positive standouts were Lanvin and Dries Van Noten with timeless collections that are right on for today or next spring.
